Seed-ball technique involves seed-packed clay and compost balls scattered across barren terrain. These balls lie dormant beneath snowfall and spring rain, germinating naturally come warmer weather.

• Efficient and resilient: Local workshops have shown higher survival rates compared to traditional sapling planting, with little resource input.
  
• Community-powered: Villagers in Yarkhoon Valley learned how to make seed balls, using local seeds from plants like sea buckthorn, rosehip, and indigenous herbs. They produced tens of thousands, actively restoring their once-barren hillsides.
