Apricot
Apricot, botanically known as Prunus armeniaca, is sourced from both wild and cultivated origins and has long been valued in indigenous medicine. It contains several bioactive compounds, including zinc, iron, copper, boron, sulfur, magnesium, potassium, nitrogen, and phosphorus, which contribute to its nutritional and therapeutic profile. Traditionally, the fruit, juice, and leaves have all been used for medicinal purposes. Apricot seed oil has been used to support respiratory health in asthma, promote skin care, and help manage dandruff, while the juice has been traditionally used to relieve constipation and support blood purification.
